Physiotherapy Exercise Groups & Clinical Pilates in Belconnen

At Belconnen Physiotherapy, we offer specialised Physiotherapy Exercise groups and Clinical Pilates classes designed to enhance recovery, improve posture, and build strength.

Our 1-hour sessions have a maximum of 4 participants, ensuring that every participant receives personalised attention and tailored guidance from an experienced physiotherapist. This small-group setting allows you to safely perform exercises with proper technique and adjustments suited to your condition or fitness level.

What is Pilates?

Pilates is a proven exercise method that focuses on core strength, flexibility, posture, and body control. It emphasises spinal and pelvic alignment, coordinated breathing, and finding a balanced, strong posture.

Through mindful movements, Pilates not only strengthens muscles but also improves balance, coordination, and overall body awareness.

What is Clinical Pilates?

Clinical Pilates takes traditional Pilates principles and adapts them with a physiotherapy-led approach. This means every class is tailored to your body’s unique needs, whether you’re rehabilitating from an injury, managing a musculoskeletal condition, or simply looking to improve your strength and mobility.

Some key benefits of Clinical Pilates include:

  • Rehabilitation support: Ideal for people recovering from injuries, particularly back, neck, and joint issues

  • Improved core stability: Strengthens deep abdominal and spinal muscles to protect your back and improve posture

  • Postural correction: Helps address imbalances caused by desk work, poor ergonomics, or repetitive strain

  • Injury prevention: Builds movement efficiency and flexibility to reduce the risk of future injuries

  • Sports performance: Enhances athletic performance by improving body alignment and functional strength

Whether you are fit and healthy, returning from injury, or managing chronic pain, Clinical Pilates can be customised to your current abilities and long-term goals.

Why Choose Belconnen Physiotherapy for Clinical Pilates?

All classes are run by qualified physiotherapists trained in Clinical Pilates techniques.

Programs are evidence-based and focus on safe, effective exercises tailored to your needs.

Small class sizes (max 4 people) allow for individual guidance and real-time correction of movement.

We combine Clinical Pilates with other physiotherapy methods when needed, ensuring a holistic approach to your recovery and fitness.
