Our Physiotherapists

Roy Daniell

  • Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy (1988)
  • Graduate Diploma in Manipulative Physiotherapy (1992)
  • APA Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

Roy has been working as an Australian Physiotherapy Association titled musculoskeletal physiotherapist for 25 years. He is the principal practitioner at Belconnen Physiotherapy Clinic and is passionate about providing care to patients while using evidence-based methods. He is particularly interested in neck pain, headaches and chronic pain.

Roy loves running and is always keen to help other runners get back on track. Roy has competed in three Paralympic games in the marathon event.

Sean Moran

Sean has a strong interest in musculoskeletal and sports injuries particularly back and neck pain, shoulder injuries and rehabilitation and tendinopathies. He uses evidence-based practice and a focus on manual therapy and exercise prescription to help his clients overcome injuries and achieve long-term optimal function.

In his spare time Sean in an avid cyclist competing in road and mountain biking races and has an extensive knowledge of cycling biomechanics, injuries and bike fit. Sean has previously been the physio for the BOSS Cycling Team and provides individual consults for several professional cyclists. He is also an avid skier and rock climber.

Sean has previously served as president of the Australian Physiotherapy Association’s branch for the ACT.

Shannon Mangin

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy (1999)

Shannon joined our team in 2005. She has worked in pediatrics and outpatients as a new graduate at Mater Hospital in Brisbane. Shannon’s background as a competitive swimmer and swim coach inspired her interest in hydrotherapy.

Over the last 5 years Shannon has studied Pilates extensively through DMA clinical Pilates and APPI levels one and two.

Shannon believes good listening skills coupled with clear client communication leads to better results. In her spare time Shannon enjoys weight training, swimming, running and yoga.

Jacinta Searles

  • Master of Physiotherapy (2011)
  • Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Biology (2008)

Jacinta graduated from the University of Canberra with a Master of Physiotherapy. Prior to this she completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Biology. She is also working as a physiotherapist in a hospital setting. She has an enthusiasm for sport, exercise and healthy living, with a history of participation and coaching in a variety of sport, principally netball.

Jacinta joined Belconnen Physiotherapy Clinic in 2012. She is currently working in aged care and has previously worked in a hospital setting. Her clinical interests include musculoskeletal and sport injuries, orthopaedic rehabilitation, dry needling and hydrotherapy. Jacinta has an enthusiasm for sport, exercise and healthy living with a history of participation and coaching in a variety of sports, principally netball.

Her treatment approach is to provide quality, evidence-based treatment and assist people in all stages of life to manage their injuries, achieve their goals and lead a healthy lifestyle.

David Woo

  • Physiotherapist training program
    University of Canberra

David is a graduate of the highly regarded University of Canberra. Physiotherapist training program.

He uses the current evidence-based practice including manual therapy and personalised exercise programs to get his clients back on track. He is a big advocate of developing caring relationships through active listening and clear communication.
During his spare time, he loves to hang out with friends and family, go hiking and is always looking to meet new people whether it is on the basketball court or in the community.

Isabelle Ward

Isabelle has a strong interest in the management of musculoskeletal and sporting injuries including the management of ACL Injuries, tendinopathies, and lower limb injuries. 

Isabelle also has experience in teaching Pilates and the management of paediatric musculoskeletal injuries. 

Isabelle is a lover of sports including netball, triathlons, Pilates, and weight training. 

Her lifestyle coupled with her training means Isabelle has a deep understanding of biomechanics and movement and is able to assist anyone from elite athletes to everyday heroes get back to the physical activity that they love. 

Her down to earth approach makes it easy for you to understand your injury and how you and Isabelle can work together to make a fast and effective recovery.
